  While people most commonly know about enzymes as the proteins that break down food and do digestion, enzymes can act as a catalyst for a number of reactions in the body, including helping us to recover from exercise. 

  What enzymes help the body recover from exercise?
  Proteolytic enzymes are best for recovery and have commonly been used for sore muscles from overexertion.* Among the proteolytic enzymes in Repair Gold are protease, catalase, serrapeptase, bromelain and papain.
